Afton was included in Minnesota Monthly’s listing of the top five best Minnesota fall drives.

Afton was included in the number two position under the heading for the St. Croix Scenic Byway.

Other destinations along the St. Croix Scenic Byway include Stillwater, Franconia Sculpture Park, Eichtens Hidden Acres, Taylor’s Falls, Banning State Park, Hinckley, Crex Meadows Wildlife Area, St. Croix Falls and Osceola.

The top five best Minnesota fall drives, according to Minnesota Monthly, are: Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway, St. Croix Scenic Byway, Wisconsin North Woods, Historic Bluff Country Scenic Byway and the Glacial Ridge Trail Scenic Byway.
