‘Bill and Ted’ collect cash

"Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure" is taking the duo to an Oakdale bank to collect campaign cash.

That’s Bill Pulkrabek and Ted Lillie, by the way, not the pair from the 1989 sci-fi comedy "Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure."

Pulkrabek, a Washington County commissioner, and Ted Lillie, the presumed GOP opponent to state Sen. Kathy Saltzman, have scheduled an election fundraiser tonight at the Platinum Bank in Oakdale. A Facebook invitation to the event dubs it: "Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure."

Supporting cast members (or special guests) in this production include former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, Republican governor candidate state Rep. Tom Emmer and Tony Sutton, Minnesota Republican Party chairman.

The suggested donation is $100.

No word on whether they will serve Icees and popcorn.
